Hi guys, I am after some advice or guidance if possible - I have a 3.2 roadster and want to fit a Cruise Control unit to my '05. I have purchased the unit you see on the left image from eBay (Genuine Audi TT 8n Cruise Control Module, I have taken my car to a local specialist and he thinks that the CC module cannot be retro-fitted to this car. I have been in touch with the nearest Audi dealer parts dept and they say it cannot be fitted retrospectively.

I have been on the TT Forum and looked at a few posts and it looks like it can - the local specialist says the arm fits fine but there is nowhere for the wiring to connect.....

Has anyone else tried this mod and come across the same problem? Has anyone then offered you a solution or a person who has first hand experience of the 'fix'? Otherwise it could be £124 wasted.....

    Hoping for a positive outcome.

Mk1 TT 3.2 DSG Roadster — Audi TT 3.2 Owners

I have been thinking about selling this for a while, and sadly I have decided to do it. I don't want to, but I am buying a new house, and I feel like I could do with a little more cash to help us get started.

Owned for nearly 6 fantastic years. Featured on Fifth Gear in 2013 and described by Jonny Smith as Mint. can be seen by going to Youtube and searching: bDG0cKm9new

Suffered from a faulty DSG gearbox in 2012, so had an Audi supplied and fitted one shipped from Germany at great cost. It has covered around 20,000 miles, making this TT probably one of the least likely to have DSG problems.

I commute to work on the train it only gets used every few weeks, hence the low increase in milage over the last 3 years (2-3k per year)

      Pros:

      - 96,700 miles

      - Well looked after, excellent paintwork quality

      - Heated leather seats

      - Leather Tonneau cover

      - 4 brand new Falcon ZE914 tyres (covered 50 miles)

      - Refurbished Audi Alloy wheels

      - Track rods replaced

      - 2 genuine Audi keys and security key

      - Recent power steering rack fitted.

      - Full history

      - Lots of receiptsand documents

      - Lives under a cover most of the time

      Cons:

      - Intermittent display has lines of pixels missing.

      - Age related stone chips and marks

      - Rear bumper scuff

Viewing welcome but please, no test pilots.

      5+ Owners

      Full service history

Hello people. I have a 2004 3.2 TT with DSG. First the car wouldn't start when engine was warm (90°), had to let it cool down for an hour before it would start. Now all it does is misfire when running (very lumpy), struggles to stay alive without pumping accelerator. On the odd occasion it will start up and run fine but only with a very slightly lumpy idle (which makes me question timing chain?)

Ran a diagnostics and faults came up as attached. Car has done 96k miles and has full service history up to 93k.

The timing chain doesn't sound extremely rattly at all, if I put my ear by the chain cover I can hear the chain moving but not rattling, cannot hear it with bonnet shut.

Can anyone recommend a place in Essex to get the chain done at a reasonable price compared to the main dealer, just incase it is the chain?

              Thanks :) Sam.

Ok so after the snow on Friday my drivers side window stopped going up and down — Audi TT 3.2 Owners

Ok so after the snow on Friday my drivers side window stopped going up and down. I turned the engine off opened the door shut the door then it worked. Then about two hours later stopped working again also it doesn't drop and inch when opening the door. But there is a clicking sound from inside the door when I move the switch. Anyway I thought I would check the following day as I thought maybe water and frost had got inside the door and needed to dry out. No such luck. No problems before Friday and passenger window is fine. Any ideas and comments would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Has anyone experienced their N/S front wheel skipping? Mine has started doing it since the weather has got colder (less than 5c).I have had a new CV Joint and new Wheel Hub (bearing inc) but is still does it. All other wheels are fine and if you look at the tread on the front left it is worn on the outer edge where it get pushed out / skips. This isn't on full lock either also tried without 4WD engaged and still does it. When it is very cold it is loud from outside the car knocking type noise.

Anyone experienced with failing fuel pumps? I'm running the standard pump on my V6 turbo and the car doesn't like to start when hot and seems to make a clicking noise when re-starting. I reckon its the standard pump with 135k. I've also noticed a momentary hesitation a few times on full chatter in top gear and reckon it could be on its way out. i believe the RS4 pump drops straight in - anyone done this in their 1.8T or MK1 V6?

Yesterday I had the glove box out to inspect the wiring and all I've managed to do is unplug and push back in the yellow plug behind the airbag.. Not sure how but seems to have cured it and the code has now cleared.

Need some feedback ladies and gents. Not used the TT DSG for over a week so decided to take it to the shops yesterday it just caught battery wise (nearly flat) Come out of the shop started car and got the dreaded flashing PRDNS. Wouldn't go into reverse but went into drive limped home the couple of miles in 2nd. Went in doors to sulk for a bit. Then went back to the car it started and drove spot on???? Had the battery on charge over night and drove it again this evening no problems. Now is this a one off, or is it the inevitable knackard DSG? Anyone else had the same scenario?

After a year I absolutely love my car (3.2 2004 with 59k beautiful condition) except for the DSG box. I don't dislike DSG, I just don't love it. It works perfectly and I have 1 year transferable warranty left on the whole car, but I just love manuals too much. In my ideal world there is someone out there who feels exactly the same but would like a DSG instead of a manual. If anybody like that exists, we should talk. Please. That is all.

Steering wheel spacer for OEM steering wheel with airbag.

Located in Italy. € 200 + shipment. Payment by paypal.

The steering wheel extender makes the original steering wheel come closer to the driver of about 5 cm, keeping all the button working (if present), also horn and obviuosly airbag. No need of mounting an aftermarket steering wheel without airbag.

Over 6" tall drivers will enjoy a much comfortable and racing driving position, with extended legs and steering wheel close to you. This cannot be achieved with the stock adjusting stroke.

Direct fit, reversible mod. Bolt on. No need of wire extending: the stock wire is long enough to be reconnected even with the spacer fitted. No problem with the steering angle sensor, the kit includes splined spacer, longer bolt, rubber cover and 2 pins with nuts to compensate the steering angle sensor gap.

Fits all mk1 TTs and I think youger version also, but I never tried. Fits also B5 and C5 A4/A6 and S/RS.

Afternoon all. I got caught up in the floods last night and ended up driving through some deep water. Car idles fine, but this morning, the rev needle is jumping about a few hundred rpm. Drives fine if I put my foot down but if I'm trundling about or sat at set speed on the motorway, the needle jumps about. Have I damaged the speed sensor or could I have damaged something significantly more expensive?

Can't get the car plugged in until next week now so I know this is a speculative post, but I'm worrying that I could have damaged the dsg. All gears and modes select and I have no warning light.

                                      Thanks
